If you regularly spend any budget on Google Adwords you may be surprised by a recent study conducted by eBay. The findings suggest that spending money on Google Adwords virtually generates no increase in sales and campaigns that do generate sales are outweighed by the investment in paid search. On the 6th February 2013 Google announced Adwords Enhanced Campaigns. Google have said this will simplify the management of campaigns across multiple devices and will have 3 key features: 1. Device, location and time of day bids will be managed through one campaign. Up to now best practice was to separate them out and manage bids in different campaigns and ad groups. 2. Yandex are to launch their own web browser to prevent them losing ground on Google in Russia. Yandex, currently the 2nd second largest search engine in Russia are to make this move after Google sealed a deal to become Firefox’s default search engine in Russia – something which was previously Yandex.
